Encouraging you to enjoy running and meet new people…

Joined in May 2018 so I would have others to run with. I’ve made some amazing friends, shared great stories, offloaded my days woes, explored routes I’d have never known, and had so much fun along the way. Love club runs

Welcome to Cherwell Runners & Joggers. We are a Banbury-based club with over 100 members and is England Athletics affiliated. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, friendly club that welcomes members of all abilities. So if you are an ultra-marathon specialist, a 10k speedster or a couch-to-5k beginner this is the place for you!

We run two club sessions a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm at Woodgreen Leisure Centre where you’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome.

If you are interested in joining the club you can join us for a couple of trial sessions before you sign up. Annual subscription to the club includes affiliation to England Athletics which provides discount for some races. For further details please contact Dawn Osborne [here]

You can find the latest club news by joining the CRJ Facebook page.

Couch 2 5K

New to running or not run in a while? We run a Couch25K programme with qualified instructors who will guide you through a structured and fun course to help you run your first 5k.

The Hornton Six is back!

We are thrilled to announce that the Hornton Six is back for 2024

"I even attempted a few race events"

I joined the club in 2019. I had been running for a year to lose weight by doing Couch to 5k.  I was quite nervous and self-conscious about running with other people. Joining was the best thing I ever did! Since running with the club I have gained confidence, lost more weight and have made some amazing friends! I even attempted a few race events and didn’t know I had competitive streak in me!

I joined in 2015 having got myself from C25k to my first half marathon. I didn’t think I was a good enough runner to join a club before the half marathon. I wished I known the club is for everyone and I could have joined right at the start of my running journey.
My running is a journey of highs and lows as I fall in and out of love with it but I really value the support received and friendships formed.
